Business Areas
Overview
Four integrated areas, from fieldwork to applied research.
Jardins da Yoba organizes its activity in complementary areas that support the agricultural chain: agricultural production, post-harvest processing and conservation, research and development, and technological innovation. From field production, we develop different product lines — certified seeds, fruit growing, horticulture and beekeeping — intended for the Yoba Produtos do Campo store, distributors, commercial partners and other marketing channels.
01 — Operational chain
Agricultural Production
Agricultural production is the core activity of Jardins da Yoba. It is in the fields that certified seeds are multiplied, cultivation cycles are managed, and the technical expertise that underpins decisions upstream and downstream in the supply chain is accumulated.
This area includes the production units, pivot irrigation systems, agronomic teams, and the cultivation calendar. It is also the point where we test, on a real scale, the varieties and practices that we validate through Research and Development.

Our Products
Jardins da Yoba’s production is organized into four lines that respond to distinct needs in the agricultural chain — from certified seeds, which supply other producers, to field products that reach the final consumer directly.
01 / Institutional Product
Certified Seeds
Production of certified seeds under the national regulatory framework, with traceable batches from field multiplication to final packaging. Varieties in production: Sveta XG, Sahara.
02 / Production line
Fruit growing
Production of fresh fruit and raw materials for processed products, destined for Yoba Store and other commercial channels.
03 / Production line
Horticulture
Production of fresh vegetables to supply the Yoba Store, distributors, and commercial partners.
04 / Production line
Beekeeping
Production of honey and beekeeping by-products, destined for the Yoba Store and various sales channels.
Marketing channels
How we got to the market
– Yoba Store – Products from the Field — point of sale directly to the end consumer, in Lubango
– Business partners — agreements with operators in the agricultural sector
– Distributors — reseller network in Angola
– Other sales channels — export and specialized channels
02 — Post-harvest
Processing and Preservation
Processing and preservation are the stages where harvested seed becomes certified seed. Here, purity, germination, moisture, and health controls are applied to determine whether a batch can be marketed.
The infrastructure includes a cleaning line, size sorting, treatment, bagging, and storage under controlled conditions. Each batch is tracked from the field of origin to the final packaging, allowing for audits and ensuring compliance with national seed standards.
03 — Applied knowledge
Research and Development
Research and Development supports the company’s agronomic decisions with its own data. It is in this area that variety trials are conducted, fertilization and management practices are evaluated, and results are documented to guide seed multiplication in subsequent campaigns.
The work includes partnerships with national and international research institutions, technical field observation, and validation of materials before their introduction into commercial production. It is the mechanism by which we convert agronomic knowledge into a certified product.
04 — Technical capacity
Innovation and Technologies
Innovation at Jardins da Yoba is not an autonomous area—it’s the layer that runs through everything else. It applies to agricultural management (operation planning and recording software), in the field (sensors, automated irrigation, precision equipment), and in processing (optical sorting lines and digital batch control).
The criterion for adopting a technology is simple: it must improve decision-making, reduce losses, or increase product reliability. Tools that don’t pass this test don’t go into operation.
