The governance model of Jardins da Yoba is based on a clear decision-making structure, with the Shareholders’ Meeting as the highest body and the General Management responsible for the executive management of operations. This structure ensures continuity, accountability, and alignment between strategic decisions, productive activity, and relationships with partners, financiers, and other stakeholders.

INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGY

Four pillars of action

Jardins da Yoba’s strategy is organized around four pillars that guide the company’s investment decisions, operational activity, and institutional development.

Pillar 01

Pesquisa & Desenvolvimento

Science applied to Angolan soil, trials, variety improvement, adapted seeds and technical cooperation.

Pillar 02

Human Capital & Social Impact

Technical training, capacity building for young people, producers and community agents, productive inclusion and skills development.

Pillar 03

Sustainable & Inclusive Production

Agricultural production, value chains, efficient use of natural resources, soil conservation and responsible practices.

Pillar 04

Strategic Partnerships

Cooperation with national and international institutions, public bodies, technical partners and actors in the agricultural sector.

NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Alignment with the Production Support Policy

Jardins da Yoba operates within the Policy of Support for Production, Diversification of Exports and Import Substitution, integrated into Axis 6 of the National Development Plan 2023–2027. This policy is organized around 56 action priorities, distributed across nine cross-cutting governance themes. The two axes with the greatest weight — human capital development and food security — are the areas where the company’s contribution is most direct, through the production of certified seeds, the technical training of producers and the strengthening of national agri-food chains.

Human capital

Technical training, practical skills development, knowledge transfer, and the creation of opportunities for young people, technicians, producers, and community agents.

Food safety

Research, production and dissemination of improved seeds, increased agricultural productivity and strengthening of national value chains.

Sustainability and inclusion

Responsible use of natural resources, soil conservation, female inclusion, support for vulnerable communities, and promotion of good agricultural practices.

Cross-cutting themes of governance

These priorities help to frame Jardins da Yoba’s contribution to a broader socio-economic impact, linking agricultural activity to human development, employment, inclusion, food security and environmental sustainability.
